Let us introduce you to Colin, our Auckland branch manager. Colin’s been in the transport game since the 80s, starting out as an owner-driver before heading off on a global adventure that included semi-pro rugby league in the UK (cut short by a serious injury), and a pivot into international removals.
From tea chests in London to commercial management in Auckland, Colin’s journey has taken him across the world and through just about every role in the industry.

What do you enjoy move about working at Conroy’s?
The variety. I enjoy meeting interesting customers and really value Conroy’s hands-on leadership style and strong company values. There’s still more I want to achieve here.
Is there something we’d be surprised to learn about you?
I majored in Art at university and spent a lot of time exploring art galleries in Europe.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Put top-grade petrol in your car – in other words, you get out what you put in. Do everything to the best of your ability.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Japan – I’d love to experience the culture, heritage and architecture.
If you could invite three people to dinner (dead or alive) who would they be?
Stevie Wonder, Sir Edmund Hillary, and New Zealand artist Rita Angus.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Relaxing and keeping active – mostly golf, but I also enjoy squash, tennis, and touch rugby.
