Meet Nicole – International Moving Specialist
If you’ve ever called Conroy to start an overseas move, there’s a good chance you’ve spoken with Nicole — the calm, reassuring voice helping customers navigate a busy and often stressful time. With nearly 20 years in the industry, Nicole brings extensive knowledge and a genuine passion for helping people.
Nicole first joined Conroy after studying Tourism, stepping into a new internal sales role that quickly grew into a long-term career. Since then, she’s raised three children, gotten married, and taken on moving challenges across all avenues be it National, International and Trans-Tasman relocations, including supporting Kiwis returning home.
For Nicole, the best part of her job is the people.
“I love making the moving experience easier and less stressful for our customers,” she says. “Moving people internationally also lets me discover new destinations and customs requirements through my clients so we are always learning.”
From treasured collectibles to oversized animal sculptures, Nicole has moved just about everything — and no two days are ever the same.
Most recently, Nicole experienced a proud full-circle moment when her son, Connor, joined Conroy as an offsider — the next generation following in her footsteps. Moments like this remind us that Conroy really is one big family… moving yours!
- If you could have dinner with any three people, dead or alive, who would they be? My Grandad Fred, Robin Williams and singer Pink.
- If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go? Everywhere! Travel has always been a passion and I cant wait to explore new destinations but an Island Holiday must be calling soon.
- What do you like doing in your spare time? Spending time with my husband and kids, walks, dancing, supporting my kids’ sports and we love a good family board game night.
- Best advice you’ve ever received? “People may forget what you said, but they’ll never forget how you made them feel.” And from my dad: “Don’t put off doing something for tomorrow that could be done today.”
- Something people might not know about you? I was a gestational surrogate for a close childhood friend who was having difficulty starting a family. After 2.5 years of the process, their baby boy was born in August 2025 – a truly special and rewarding journey to be part of.
